Saxophonist and Composer/Arranger, Justin Jones is a graduate of William Paterson University in his home state of New Jersey.
Justin brings his unique approach to the growing pool of young talent. He has performed with Winard Harper, Yasiin Bey (aka MOSDEF), Talib Kweli, Jessica Care Moore, Funk Master Flex, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Eddie Allen, Keith Murray, Will Terrill, and many other World Renowned Artists. Justin has been seen playing at several major clubs and venues in New York City, such as Blue Note, Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola, Birdland, SMOKE, Fat Cat, Minton's, The Appel Room, Zinc Bar, and Carnegie Hall. Justin is a well traveled touring musician that has played many venues in the United States, South America and all over Europe. He has studied formerly under saxophonists Vincent Herring, Bruce Williams, and Mark Gross. His versatility has allowed him to share the stage with Gospel and Reggae artists such as Alvin Slaughter, Papa San, Junior Tucker and Marvia Providence. Justin is currently touring with the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble (HBE).
Not only does he play many styles, Justin also plays all saxophones, clarinet, and flute. When Justin is not on the bandstand, you can find him Composing, Producing and as a Teaching Artist for Jazz House Kids and NJPAC.
